Flexiseal

Overview

Selleys Flexiseal is a non slumping polyurethane construction sealant with high movement capability, low modulus and excellent adhesive properties.

Weatherproof, suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, paintable after it has cured.*

*Suitable for most water-based paints. For oil-based paints undercoat with water-based primer. Testing recommended if paint is applied more than 5 days after the sealant application.

  • High flexibility with +/-25% joint movement capability
  • Low modulus of elasticity
  • Excellent resistance to aging and weathering
  • No shrinkage during curing
  • Excellent adhesion on common building materials such as concrete, masonry, brick, ceramic tile, metals, soft wood, hardwood and some plastics

Usage

Ideal for elastic joint sealing of expansion and construction joints between common building materials in vertical and horizontal surfaces such as:

  • Expansion Joints in precast elements
  • Perimeter seals around windows and doors
  • External wall and cladding joints
  • Weatherproofing joints between brickwork, masonry, wood concrete or metal frames.
  • Joints in walls, balconies, around window or door frames.▪Joints in bridge and balcony parapets

Selleys Pro Trade Construction Adhesive Multipurpose is a high strength, multipurpose adhesive that forms a strong and lasting bond on most building substrates. It's flexible enough to respond to normal shrinkage and thermal movement between building components without losing bond strength. It can be used as the sole means of bonding (as a contact adhesive) or as a component in a dual bonding situation, i.e. in conjunction with mechanical fasteners, or where nails or screws are used to support the weight until full cure is completed. It also exceeds requirements specified by Australian Standard AS 2329 (1999) “MASTIC ADHESIVE FOR FIXING WALLBOARDS”. (Including wet and poorly seasoned timber)
  • High Strength
  • Fast cure, but does not skin too quickly

  • Easily extrudable at low temperatures
  • Does not drip, sag or string between panels
  • Bridges gap up to 9mm hence can be used on rough and ill-fitting construction materials.
